A unique exhibition space in a unique setting. Opened in November 2007, the gallery is situated in the industrial area of east Vancouver and is housed in an old furniture factory built in 1914. This unassuming yet historic building at 1000 Parker Street is home to two independent art galleries and a number of artists' and crafters' studios. 1000 Parker Street has become the hub of the annual Eastside Culture Crawl which sees upwards of 10,000 art lovers, collectors, interior designers, movie set decorators and dealers passing through it's labyrinthine hallways each year. In addition to show-casing Hodnett's work, the gallery also represents a select group of artists whose work is consistent with the gallery's contemporary and aesthetic profile. Although not that easy to find, the gallery is well worth visiting because of the high calibre of work on display. Among the artists represented are: Hiro Yamagata, Laszlo George, Thomasin Dewhurst, Margie Britz, Hermann Niebuhr, Carl Becker, Matthew Cooper, Anton Chapman, Liza Visagie, Bryn Werth, Craig Wylie, Cyril Coetzee, Jonathan Cook, Richard Bond and Noel Hodnett. Hodnett Fine Art represents artists who's work is consistent with the gallery's contemporary and aesthetic profile. Representation is by invitation only and solely at the discretion of the Director.
